What is a cleaning charge?

A cleaning charge will be added to the rental fee so your last day of vacation is not spent cleaning! The price of cleaning varies depending on the size of the property. Our excellent housekeeping staff makes everything perfect before you arrive and after you depart.

Linens

Imagine Rentals, provides a basic supply of bed and bath linens in each property. Bed linen and bath towels are not changed during your stay, unless you have arranged for a mid-stay cleaning. The startup set of bath soap, toilet tissue and trash bags are not replenished, so we recommend that you bring your own.

Why do many homes not allow events such as weddings or receptions? Why do the homes that allow events charge extra for each event?

Opening a private home for an event entails having individuals on the property who are not named in the rental contract. We adhere to the wishes of our home owners: to either prohibit events entirely, or charge for them as we feel is appropriate. Our experience has shown that while mishaps such as red wine or food being spilled are rare, they most frequently occur during events.

While it looks like you can do everything onlilne -- Well, almost...Once you have chosen the perfect vacation home in the Florida Keys to suit your needs, and the dates are all set, you'll have a verbal reservation.

Why can't I use the electric boat lift on the dock?

Most of our homes are "second homes" for the property owners. It's not uncommon to arrive at a property and find an electric boat lift or even the property owners boat stored on the lift etc. Access to the boat lift or boat at the property is expressly prohibited.

What is your pet policy? Do any of your properties allow pets?

Very few of our properties allow pets, inquire with us about the pet friendly properties. Guest is responsible for cleaning area around property of all pet excretions. Guest is also responsible for removing pet hair from inside the property and including all furnishings prior to departure. In the event of additional cleaning or laundering services due to pet hair, Imagine Rentals will bill you for the additional housekeeping costs, minimum $50.00. The Security/Damage Fee does not cover any damage or flea infestation caused by a pet.

What is your smoking policy? Do any of the properties allow smoking?

All Imagine Rentals properties are non-smoking, however smoking on outdoor patios is usually permitted.

Printing Errors

Every effort has been made to assure that our information and descriptions are accurate; however, Imagine Rentals cannot be held responsible for changes made by owners in furnishings and equipment, or for printing errors.

Maid Services

Daily, mid-week & check-out cleaning may be scheduled prior to check-in. Contact our office for more information.

Occupancy

Our occupancy limits are determined by local county and state laws and must be adhered to. Each maximum occupancy includes children [over 12 years of age]. Recreational vehicles may be used for transportation purposes only and not as a means to increase occupancy, nor can they be attached to the water or the electricity facilities. In the event a property is over occupied, guests are subject to eviction with NO REFUNDS.

We've never visited the Keys before and are bringing the kids -- what activites are recommended?

What if I have an issue while at the property that requires maintenance?

Each of the Property Owners makes every attempt to keep their property and its equipment in good working order. In case of a breakdown, notify Imagine Rentals to make the necessary repairs as soon as possible. No rate adjustments or refunds will be made for mechanical failures. Please report any problems or damages as soon as possible to Imagine Rentals during regular business hours. In the case of an after-hours emergency, please call the Imagine Rentals office.

Is Imagine Rentals a "Green Friendly" company?

At Imagine Rentals we're strongly committed to perserving our planet and conserving energy, that's why we ask all of our guests to please abide a few simple requests:

1. Conserve Energy – don't leave lights or appliances on in vacant rooms
2. Summer is hot BUT – turn off the air conditioning when windows or door are open or close the windows and doors
3. Recycle – Each of our homes should have a recycle bin for your use (if not please let us know). If you don't have one, please segregate aluminum, plastic and glass into a seperate bag and we'll be happy to dispose for you.

Why our homes are fabulous?

Each of our homes selected for our Vacation Rental catalog are based upon a 3, 4, or 5 Star rating systems. Our rating system is similar to that used to rate Hotel facilities based upon the following criteria:

1. Condition – age of property, maintenance practices, level of housekeeping proficiency, detailed cleanliness, grounds maintenance, equipment maintenance, and upkeep.
2. Location and Views – Oceanfront, bay front, beachfront, ocean view, resort area or residential area, level of traffic, noise, privacy, neighbors, highways. Proximity to activities, dining, golf, tennis, beaches, hikes. Beauty and variety of views.
3. Amenities – Number of bedrooms and baths, fans, central air conditioning, pools, waterfalls, Jacuzzis, media/TV/CD/DVD, internet/fax.
4. Quality and Décor – This category is based upon such factors as cost of construction per square foot, quality of interior furnishings, textiles, quality of bedding and linens.
5. Design – Is this a great home, well designed, well-lit, large enough bedrooms, spacious functional kitchen, gracious living and entertaining areas, good airflow? Does the home have outstanding architectural qualities, and does it provide an uplifting experience of a home in paradise?

A FEW WORDS ABOUT VACATION RENTALS

For those travelers that are new to renting a vacation rental verses a hotel: Vacation rental properties offer flexibility through a variety of accommodations, locations, and price ranges. Our Rental Properties are very different from a hotel room in that they offer a unique vacation experience, luxury family style lodging and a greater supply of amenities. And for those of you traveling with large families, we have homes that can accommodate families up to fourteen people! It is important that you realize that all of our Rental Properties are individually owned private waterfront homes; they are owned by families much like yours, not owned by large corporations. Our properties are luxury estates, family beach houses and condos; the owners use them for their own family vacations, not merely for investment. The home owners work to maintain the quality of their Rental Property to the highest level, and in turn they ask all of our guests to respect their property and to care for their home as you would your own home. Each property reflects the taste of the individual homeowner; furnishings, décor, and amenities vary from one property to another.
